Dental Whitening

Dental whitening is a medical procedure that whitens teeth without damaging them. The bleaching agent is made from hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide.

Teeth may become stained due to various factors:

• Ingesting the following regularly: coffee, tea, Coca-Cola, red vine, or others with high content of food coloring;
• Age;
• Cigarette smoking;
• Tetracycline stains or other antibiotics, taken in childhood during tooth formation;
• Floride ingestión stains (high intake of flouride leads to stains of various types);
• Other systemic diseases during tooth formation;
• Old root treated or damaged teeth.
